Amelia crossed some big milestones this month... she is now sitting and said, "Ma-ma" the other day. She will frequently open and close her mouth like she is talking... it's very sweet.

 Look what I can do!!!

 Is it mean to take a picture of her falling?  I wasn't too worried, because she is an incredibly graceful faller... she's really good at rolling to her stomach.  When her big sister was first learning, it was on very hard tile and she was not a good faller.  I don't feel as much of a need to surround Amelia with pillows.

 We went to an event that had face painting... had to get a picture of what a real butterfly face paint looks like, as opposed to my attempt (seen HERE in January).  This was shortly before we washed it off, as it was making her eyes water.

 We love watching the sunset from our balcony.  "Isn't that pretty, Daddy?"

 Mom forgot to put the helmet on her.  Fail.  No consequences, fortunately.

 I pulled the girls along in the bike trailer and realized a few things: 1) Two kids are heavier than one (simple enough); 2) There are a lot of hills in our town; 3) It's more difficult to ride a bike at 6400 feet elevation than sea level (especially with said hills); 4) I'm not in very good shape.  The good news is, both of them loved it:

I couldn't wait to post these... 

 "Mommy, can you take a picture of my girls?"

 It was so incredible beautiful yesterday, we had to wash the car.  My car is very blue, but it was so dirty I had a difficult time finding it in the parking lot the other day!

 Yay, no longer brown!

 Amelia helped, too.

Happy Leap Day!  

We are starting the process of our next move... more on that later (abbreviated version: moving back into our home after 4+ years away).  Stu had quite a bit of travel this month, which kept us pretty busy with various projects when he was in town.  The main project we are working on is our basement finish!  While we don't have to do any of the actual construction, we have had to pick out all of the finishes, which takes about 4 times longer when you are bringing both of the kids!  Fortunately a friend was able to help out on a Saturday which enabled us to get soooo much done!  Thanks, Miss Jen!

Abbey is learning how to write.  This is a grocery list that she made for me.

 She has mastered the letter "A," but I don't have a picture, yet.

 I am not sure if Stu has forgiven me for buying this toy for Abbey (it was an impulse purchase long ago, when we were stuck in an airport for several hours after a missed connection):

 Valentine's from the cousins...

 I am so amazed by my these two... Amelia adores her big sister, and Abbey loves to teach her little sis and help her.  I am really praying this continues...

 I wish this was a better shot so you could see just how happy they both are...

 Abbey got an adorable chef's jacket as a gift... here she is wearing it while helping me make cookies.

 Amelia's first food!  Yummy banana!  I was hoping to wait until 6 months, but  when I couldn't make it through a meal without her grabbing my fork and trying to put whatever was on it in her mouth, we decided she was probably ready for solids!  Good decision on our parts... she seems much more content!

 Poor Stu... cut his head off.

 Amelia is making her motorboat noise... she is also trying really hard to crawl!

 Stu had to make a quick trip to Germany for a couple of meetings... poor guy, he spent probably just about as much time on an airplane as he did in Frankfurt.  However, he managed to do a little shopping for me and brought back some treats.  Thanks, husband!!!
