Thanksgiving and Bonus

We were at my Aunt and Uncle's house this year. It was super fun because my brother and his kids and my cousin and her kids were all there. We had 8 kids under the age of 8! Abbey LOVED playing with her cousins. Here are some pictures.

Messy headed little blondies:

Abs and her cousin A:

One of my favorite parts of the weekend:  The kids were downstairs and E (pictured below) came upstairs.  I saw her and thought, "That has to be the handiwork of my daughter."  Her mom asked, "Did you do that to yourself?"  E's response was, "No, somebody else did it."  I asked, "Did Abigail do it?"  "Yes."  Oh dear.

While I was taking the picture E, this is what was happening behind me... Abbey continued to color on herself, even after the very serious discussion we had just had.  Ok, so maybe it wasn't so serious... it was my telling her while laughing that we shouldn't color on our friend's faces.

Flip Flap Jack

Most Wednesdays we go to storytime at the library. It's 30 minutes of fun... Mr. Cliff reads 3 books and in between the stories he sings interactive songs. One of Abbey's favorite songs is "Flip Flap Jack."  We made breakfast for dinner last night (or "Brinner" as Stu calls it), and I decided to make Flip Flap Jack for Abbey.

And wouldn't you know it, we sang "Flip Flap Jack" at storytime today.  It had been a few months since we heard it there.  I think I was more excited than Abbey.  If you have young kids, learn the song (HERE) and make an edible Flip Flap Jack.  So fun.

Halloween

A friend sent us some cute matching outfits for the girls:

Our Strawberry Princess

Our Ladybug

Abbey's and her favorite friend, R.  We love R.  She takes such good care of Abs.

Abbey's first trick or treat trip...

Some of the other little tikes.

Her haul.  Apparently people are suckers for little girls in Strawberry Princess costumes that meekly whisper "Trick or Treat", because they would say, "Awwwwww..." and give her big handfuls of candy.

October - Part 2

More from October...

Abbey likes to send Stu mail while he is at work.  This is a picture of some of the mail she has sent.  It's so funny to hear Stu through the door in work mode talking to his colleagues and watching Abigail slip drawings and books under the door.  As hard as it is when he is traveling, it's nice that he works from home when he is in town.

I love this series.  Abbey was helping Amelia one morning.  Amelia loved it.  Abbey got some serious smiles from Amelia.

Abigail and Amelia got their first Aggie gear from my parents.  Gig 'em!
