March

The beginning of a new month has arrived!  Today Stu and I celebrate our 6-year anniversary.  The traditional gift is Candy or Iron (odd combination) and the modern gift is Wood.  I made monster cookies for Stu, which have M&M's... does that count?


Here are some pictures from the month of March.  Pretty much our entire month was spent with someone in our household sick.  Flu, colds, sinus infection... the list goes on.  Hopefully once Abbey is better from her last illness, that will be it for a very long time! 


I took this picture for my friend who gave Abbey this shirt.  She calls it her "Baby Shirt."  It is from Florence and is a print of the top half of "Il Primo Bacio," (The First Kiss) which is a painting.

Abbey has started to build towers instead of just knock them down.  Below is an example of some of her early work.

I love this picture.  For those of you who aren't around Abbey very much, you probably don't see this side of her.  She can be a bit more on the reserved side when she is first around someone.  Once you get past that first half-hour to hour, you're her friend for life and you will get to see the more animated side of her.  This picture is what she is like 99% of the time... always on the go!

Magnet Princess was a gift from her Aunt Shauna.  I think Abbey came up with a fantastic outfit here.  This Princess wears her hat upside down covering her face... a bit unconventional, but it works!

More magnets... she figured out very quickly that they stick to metal and she creatively dispersed them among her stroller.  This magnet activity fell apart quickly.  She was a bit naughty and defiantly put one in her mouth.  Discipline unfortunately had to be given and now any time she sees one she says, "Magnet.  No mouth."  It was fun while it lasted.

 Nothing like a nice cup of tea and a good book.

Abbey loves socks.  We pretty much have to have socks on at all times or she relentlessly walks around pointing to our bare feet saying, "Socks.  Socks.  Socks...."  She found Daddy's socks and decided she needed a couple of extra pairs in her handbag.

We bought a potty.  I haven't started potty training, but it's there for her to get used to.  I think she's a bit confused on what it is meant to be used for...
